Loved the spacious double room at Holly Lodge. The location was a huge plus, only a short stroll to the vibrant heart of York. The owner, Geoff, made my stay exceptional with his warmth and tips about local attractions like York Minster and The Shambles. Cleanliness was top-notch. I appreciated the fresh toiletries provided. Unfortunately, the bathroom had some quirks. Weak water pressure in the shower made it less enjoyable. The TV size felt outdated. a wonderful base to explore the city, but a few updates would elevate the experience further.

York vibes and lovely walks 🌊
Geoff was a top bloke, helping us with local tips and handing out maps. The room was super clean and had this nice bath where I could chill after walking around. Lovely spot, just a short stroll to town, and those little cafes nearby – what a joy!
Shower positioning was a bit tricky, had to lean in while showering.

Convenience of free parking, Charming historical decor, Scenic walks to city attractions
Dated room decor!!! The shower pressure was terrible, making it frustrating!!! Small TV size doesn't fit modern expectations!!! Noise from adjacent rooms impacts the comfort significantly!!! General maintenance issues need urgent attention!!!

We were warmly welcomed and found our room spacious with all the amenities we needed, like a hair dryer and complimentary shower products. The garden was a lovely spot to relax with some beautiful flowers and seating areas to enjoy the fresh air. The only downside was a noisy toilet, but it didn’t spoil our overall experience. 🌼
